And They’re Off, and So Am I

The impending call to the post for both the Oaks and the Kentucky Derby have gotten in the way of my daily blog post, and for that, I will not apologize.  Derby Week in Louisville is like no other, and I have been, and will continue to, enjoy every bit of it.  If ever there were a reason to forsake the daily grind for some fun, it is this particular week in our beloved Commonwealth.  So, even if I miss a day or two of posting this week, rest assured that I am still doing at least one thing each day for myself and for others.  Doing is more important than documenting, right?  At least, that’s what I am telling myself to assuage my blogger’s guilt!

Today, I am taking time out from what has been a busy week at home and at work to take a visitor to the Derby City out to dinner at one of my favorite local spots, which I anticipate being a good thing for both of us.  I am immensely proud of where I come from, and I enjoy having friends and family visit Louisville, especially this time of the year.  It is a fun, festive time that I enjoy sharing with others and seeing our city and this magnificent event through their eyes.  I truly feel like a kid at Christmas this time of year!

So, having some fun and being a gracious hostess go hand-in-hand today, and I cannot wait to see what the rest of the week brings.  Happy Derby Week, y’all!!!

Just one thing each day . . .
