I definitely do not have all of the answers to life’s questions and dilemmas, so, I often to turn to trusted family and friends for advice and guidance. They never cease to amaze me with their sage words of advice, and I take their words to heart. One such trusted advisor is my special friend who offers pithy advice on a daily basis, and the other day, he served up this savory nugget.
Irregardless of how much advice my special friend has dispensed, when he wrote, “Go with your gut but don’t be dumb”, it became an instant favorite. What it lacked in eloquence, it more than made up for in being short, not so sweet, and to the point, and the bottom line is that it also happens to be true.

I’m still learning this life skill, after regretting decisions not to act on instinct in moments’ past.. As we get older, we have to trust the wealth of knowledge and life experience we accumulate on a subconscious level. As a friend once shared, “if you’re still thinkin’ about it, you missed your chance”.

Thanks for reading this and sharing your feedback! Like you, I am learning to master this skill, as too often I ignore my gut feeling/intuition to follow a “safer” or more conventional route. The times when I allow my inner voice to be heard, I can honestly say that I never have been disappointed. So, I need to continue to hone this skill to have the life I desire, not the life that is meant for someone else or the one that this being lived for someone else.
