Inside the Actors Studio

Inspired by my fellow blogger, lifebeinggirly, I decided to participate in today’s writing challenge, which is as follows:

On the interview show, Inside the Actors’ Studio, host James Lipton asks each of his guests the same ten questions. What are your responses?

What is your favorite word?

Sublime is one my favorite words, because, well, it is simply sublime.

What is your least favorite word?

The use of the “N” word, or any other type of slur for that matter, angers and saddens me.

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

Music definitely has the ability to turn me on creatively, spiritually, and emotionally, which is why it plays such an integral part in my life.

What turns you off?

People with closed minds and hearts are among the biggest turn-offs, as they are truly toxic.

What is your favorite curse word?

While I swear that I really do try not to swear, when I do, nothing beats an emphatic, “f**k”!  In lieu of that, I like to go with the more benign phrase, “Mother of pearl”!

What sound or noise do you love?

I love the sound of my daughters laughing and giggling, as it is intoxicating and infectious all at once.

What sound or noise do you hate?

I hate the sound of ringing cell phones in places meant for quiet, such as the movie theater, the library, church, and nature.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

At heart, I am a writer, and that is the profession I most would like to attempt, so, I am.

What profession would you not like to do?

One profession I most certainly would not want to do is to be a mortician.  I have a fear of death, so, that would be my own hell on earth to have to confront it on a daily basis.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

When I arrive at the Pearly Gates, I would like to hear God say to me, “Kristi, my child, welcome home.  You are safe now and have nothing to fear.  You are loved.  You are accepted.  Everything is finally okay.”

That’s another story . . .

  1. Hi, Kristi! I loved your responses! Thank you for the shout out, too! ❤

Being a mortician would be a horrible job(no offense to any Morticians on here) but I think it's something you must be born into and not something you pick up, right?

I bet hearing your children's laughter is always sublime =) You are truly blessed! Anyways, I'm so happy you decided to do this writing prompt as I got to learn more about you!! Yay!
