Day Seventeen: 30 Days of Gratitude

The second half of thirty days of gratitude got off to a frigid start here in Kentucky, but even an arctic blast could not put a freeze on the gratitude I felt throughout the day.  Here are three of the things that warmed my heart:

  1. Waking up to the first snowfall of the season.  Usually, when our local meteorologists predict snow, they miss the mark, so, it was a pleasant surprise to wake up and discover that they were spot on with their forecast of snow this time.  In addition to blanketing the landscape with a brilliant white cover, the snow also left behind a stillness and peace this morning.  The entire world seemed to bow in quiet reverence to the snowfall, and I was grateful for this serene start to my day.  Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
  2. Getting a ride to work from my ex-husband.  I had…
