Instead of heading back to work today, as I had hoped to do, I began my day by making a trip to the doctor’s office. I am well into my fifth day of being under the weather and under the covers, but thankfully, a proper diagnosis (the flu and an acute upper respiratory infection) and the appropriate prescription medications have me believing that there is a healthy end in sight. In addition to medical care to heal my body, I am ever so grateful for the care, concern, and kindness shown to me in numerous ways by my family and friends to boost my spirits.
